I can agree with you, TPA, that the wii is scary and confusing to a gamer. WHY, you ask, WOULD YOU IGNORE THE HARD CORE GAMING COMMUNITY?

Check the profits. It works.

Nintendo Wii has done more than any other console in thirty years to expand the gaming user base. The Queen has played a Nintendo Wii, rumor has it the pope has too. So has my mother, who ranks high on the list of most-technologically-incompetent-people in the Western World.

In fact, it might be argued that the Wii is doing more to break down video game barriers than anything else before it: the distinction between “normal people” and “video game nerds” is becoming increasingly hard to find as more and more people start to experiment with it.

As far as I’m concerned, all of you video game people can be pretty retarded. At least give the Wii credit for kicking the market’s ass into a whole new world.
